I have been to countless professional development workshops that were just a complete waste of my time: slideshows, talking at us for hours and telling me what I already know. Justin came in and spent two days showing and then doing these amazing activities with us. I have been looking for ways to teach my students about teamwork, seeing the value in others and how to spark really deep conversations about these important issues in our school. Justin gave me that and so much more! Everyone, and I mean every single person there, absolutely treasure what he gave us. I am a hard working, progressive teacher who uses a lot of student-centered learning and project-based learning. What has been missing was getting my students to become a larger team, working together and valuing each other. I now have the tools needed to facilitate that kind of work. Justin helped me get to that next level.

Justin's attention to detail and his ability to facilitate to a myriad of professionals was priceless for what we needed as a school. He not only had our school employees engaged but also had our Human Resources playing right along with the rest of the team. Opportunities like this don't happen often but the results are just SPECTACULAR!!
Thank you Justin for all you do!!

I strongly recommend Justin McGlamery as a resource to programs serving troubled and at-risk youngsters. His collaborative and creative skills can really make a difference by engaging often stressed and frustrated staff as well as the children and adolescents who need support. As an administrator in education and not-for-profit human service organizations for more than 30 years, I believe the dynamic process Justin leads would be integrative and uplifting for most organizations, whether for engaging educational, human service or corporate audiences.

This was the first educational workshop that truly touched my heart. The activities and discussions helped me to get to know my colleagues and students in a way that I have never experienced before. I felt connected to each and every one at the end of the workshop and it was only 2 days!!! All I can say is thank you Justin and I am so excited about using these amazing strategies. Building a united community one action at a time!

Year after year, Justin provided creative training for the First Year Seminar instructors and peer mentors on experiential learning and transition activities. He really opened a whole new world for us, which enriched our other courses, as well as our First Year Seminars. He also generously conducted activities in our classes showing us how to be better, in his words, P.I.C.O.U.P. (People In Charge Of Unlocking Potential) and to help students learn to "fail forward". This collaboration was invaluable for the First Years Seminar Program. Justin has proven to be a creative, compassionate mentor to faculty, staff, and students.

This workshop was incredible on many levels! It was amazing to see how simple activities brought the group together without gadgets or tech and still wowed the kids as well as adults. I truly enjoyed watching the students grow, owning their feelings and mistakes as well as celebrating successes and each other. Feeling fabulous and hopeful for the school year ahead!!!

Justin was very connected with students and was helpful to provide opportunities for direct dialogue with student groups to identify their concerns about diversity issues on campus. Students valued his support, and his presence and recommendations contributed to their feelings of safety to express their concerns and explore sensitive topics of their life on campus, and their experiences of micro-aggressions and prejudice. Justin was known to students as a social justice advocate and was valuable in identifying concerns and dynamics that presented potential issues. I can confidently say that Justin contributed to our awareness and exploration of sensitive issues and that our efforts on diversity, inclusion, and social justice benefitted from his insights and his ability to raise issues with a focus on continuous improvement and growth.

Justin McGlamery's team-building work has been instrumental in bonding peer groups together as they embark upon challenging journeys. His skill of working with people to unpack who they are and realize common ground with others is profound, and his enthusiasm in doing so is catchy. He has made all the difference in several groups I have worked with who are better able to share, communicate, and work together as a consequence of his effort.

Justin is incredibly skilled at breaking down overarching social values into phrases that students that can understand and internalize. His hands-on activities reinforced those values and emphasized the worth of others.

Justin’s group programs have made my first year at college incredible. I’ve done things in my FYS class that I didn’t think I could do. Some of the closest friends I have today, are because of the great experiences we had together in Justin’s class. He helped me warm up to the new college environment which was hard for me. I know he makes a big difference wherever he goes because he did in my life. UBUNTU!
